Greg the Spider: An ArthroBlogger Halloween Tale

So I was walking outside my dorm today and I heard something rustling in the bushes. I know it’s Halloween, but I still didn’t expect to find a giant spider hiding under there.

Apparently his name is Greg. He’s a pretty chill spider. Greg bought a pumpkin recently but he doesn’t own a camera, so he asked me to do a photoshoot for him.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get very far into the photoshoot before a racoon came waddling by eying Greg’s pumpkin like it was a Halloween snack.

Fortunately, Greg can be pretty intimidating when he wants to be and scared the racoon away.

Greg really loves his pumpkin.

To make a long story short, I thought Greg was pretty cool and might be able to keep the racoons away, so I decided to bring him home with me. That, and he sort of won’t let go of my arm now so I guess he’s here to stay.

I’m still not allowed to touch his pumpkin, though.

Happy Halloween from me and Greg! I hope your day is as exciting as Greg’s was when he found out I have my own pumpkin.
